A TASTE SENSATION – AUTUMN FLAVOURS AT THEIR BEST.
Held annually since 2005, on the third weekend of October, Morro D’Alba hosts this popular festival, which is held both inside and outside the castle walls. The event is a great opportunity to delight in two of The Marches most prestigious products – Lacrima di Morro D’Alba DOC wine and truffles from the nearby town of Acqualagna.
During Saturday and Sunday a gastronomical market is held where one can taste and buy Lacrima wine, truffles from Acqualagna and other local specialities.
Along ‘La Scarpa’,the town’s unique covered walkway a craft fair is held with local artisans displaying and selling their various creations.
The festival also features live music, children’s entertainment and games – a great family day out!
Lacrima di Morro D’Alba DOC – visitors can purchase an attractive wine glass which can then be used for free wine tastings from the local wine producers present at the festival.
Truffles from Acqualagna – fresh, preserved, oils and sauces are all on offer. The local area of Acqualagna is best known for it’s valuable white truffles. The area of Acqualagna contains nearly all the types of Italian truffles to be found and it is possible to find them all year round.
Other typical products include salamis, cheeses, olive oils, mushrooms, honey, jams, dried fruits, tisanes.
